Dr. Fairweather is a Doctor of Chiropractor who specializes in delivering customized chiropractic care. His approach focuses on the health of the spine and nervous system while incorporating functional movement and manual therapy techniques to restore function and vitality to the whole body.
Connor’s experience with functional assessment and movement analysis, as well as his training in chiropractic, give him a unique ability to see the human body and help patients on their journey to living pain free and feeling their best.
Connor Graduated from the University of Victoria where he earned a combined bachelor’s degree majoring in Mathematics and Economics. From and early age, Dr. Fairweather has been intrigued by the intricacies of the human body, movement, and health, and so upon graduating, Connor forwent his “Wolf of Wall Street” dreams and shifted towards a career he was truly passionate about.
As a lifelong patient himself, Connor has always been fascinated by, and experienced the life-changing benefits of chiropractic care. Connor grew up playing many sports, from competitive hockey and soccer to swimming and golf. Chiropractic care was always a big part of his athletic life to keep him injury free and feeling his best.
After leaving Victoria and a short stint in Nanaimo where he met Dr. Dave and Dr. Alex, Connor enrolled at University of Western States. Connor concluded his time in Portland by earning his second bachelor’s degree in Human Biology along with his Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine, graduating with honours. During his time at UWS, Connor acted as president of his school’s chapter for Rehab2Performance, a national organization dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of movement and assessment and integrating those into high quality patient-centred care.
Connor went on to serve on the national student board for R2P, and organized a seminar hosting outfit where he helped run and attended dozens of seminars while in school. Continuing education has been a large part of Connor’s journey as a chiropractor, giving him well over 300 hours of outside education from some of the brightest minds in the profession.

Dr. Harper-Heir graduated from the University of Western States in Portland, OR with a Doctor of Chiropractic and Bachelor of Science in Human Biology. He is certified in Active Release Technique (ART), and has experience with personal training and strength conditioning. Having grown up in the mountains surrounding Hinton, Alberta, Seth developed a passion for the outdoors. This passion resulted in many trips to the chiropractor and an appreciation for this specialized care. Dr. Harper-Heir provides patients with a comprehensive treatment approach, with the goal to empower patients to feel and be their best. He enjoys working with patients of all ages from young children, to pregnant women, to athletes, and geriatrics. Therapies provided include: manual adjusting, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), electrotherapies, ART, Tailored Rehabilitation Programs, and use of a Chiropractic adjusting tool (CAT). In Portland, Dr. Harper-Heir had the opportunity to work at a variety of clinics and community events where he treated a wide range of patients.

Dr. Mattern came to Canada in 1968 from a small town in western New York State, with a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Buffalo.
After working several years in the UBC Library and then as a “lady logger” in Sayward and Kelsey Bay, she went back to school in Toronto to become a Chiropractor in 1977.
Since graduating in 1981, Dr. Mattern has been in full time practice in Nanaimo.
She loves to sing and is a member of Camerata Singers, as well as a member of Nanaimo Daybreak Rotary and the Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Michael Stochmal enjoys serving patients:

Dr. Stochmal is an Adjunct Faculty member of the University of Western States, a preceptor to a Student Chiropractic Intern as they finish their required clinical hours for licensure. He is conversant in French. He was chiropractor for team Michelle Stilwell, Olympic gold medal wheelchair athlete. Dr. Stochmal has attended the care of geriatric patients at Malaspina Gardens (a residential care facility) in Nanaimo. He graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, ON in 1993. During his schooling he was part of the nursing team on the adolescent ward of Hugh MacMillan Rehabilitation Centre (a paediatric orthopaedic hospital).
